Thomas S.K. Chang Trainee Travel Award
Established in 1996 in memory of Dr. Thomas S.K. Chang and is funded by sales and donations
The Trainee Affairs Committee established the travel awards in order to assist trainees with travel expenses to the ASA Annual Meeting. All Trainee Members of the ASA who have abstracts accepted, are first author on the abstracts, and need travel assistance to present their work are eligible. These awards are based on need and merit, with an emphasis on need.
Trainees must complete the Trainee Travel Award application requirements when submitting an abstract for the Annual Meeting. Awards are considered reimbursement; therefore, trainees must attend the meeting and present their paper before the travel grant is awarded. Trainees are notified of the amount awarded two months prior to the Annual Meeting.
