The 4th annual online, self-assessment exam will be developed from current Andrology literature. The exam is intended for: Students, residents fellows, post-doc candidates, laboratory professionals, basic scientists and clinicians.

STRUCTURE
The 50 question exam has been developed from 10 articles in the 2010 and Jan-Feb 2011 Journal of Andrology

The selected articles are representative with the Core Curriculum established by exam committee (see below).

The questions will emphasize translational research, basic reproductive science and practical clinical material.

The exam committee members were encouraged to develop questions that were consistent with the guidelines for Core Compentencies

CIRCTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
All those who complete the exam will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ASA to recognize their participation.

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES: This educational opportunity is sponsored by The American Society of Andrology (ASA) for several reasons:

  • Other societies have requested ASA to develop a core curriculum for the field of Andrology.and create an exam related to these topics
  • In a survey of its membership, the ASA received an 84% favorable response to develop an exam.
  • The study and completion of the exam offers a candidate the opportunity to expand his/her knowlege of current Andrology literature
  • Based on follow-up surveys,this exam has helped candidates prepare for board exams and in-service exams

RECOGNITION
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should enhance their base of knowledge in the field of Andrology:and they will receive a cerfiticate of Achievement from the American Society of Andrology

THE EXAM
After each question, you will automatically receive the correct answer and its related reference.
You will have 6 weeks to complete the online exam.
Upon completion of the exam, you will receive your grade, immediately.

Erectile and sexual dysfunction
Endocrinology related to men, male infertility and aging
Embryology of male genital development, pubertal disorders
Reproductive tract infections and sexually transmitted diseases
Laboratory tests in andrology
Basic reproductive science, testis and genital tract development
Reproductive Toxicology

After you complete registration,and pay for the exam, you will receive an ID NUMBER, PASSWORD and a WEB SITE ADDRESS from: exams@LXR.com

To ACCESS the exam, click onto the WEB SITE ADDRESS provided by (exams@LXR.com). The ID Number and Password will open the exam; however, the questions will not appear online until - Friday, April 1, 2011. The exam must be completed by 12:00 Midnight, Tuesday, May 31, 2011
