It is my sad task to share with you that Anthony J. Thomas, JR., MD, has died. He was a mentor to many of us and was the reason I became an Andrologist and joined ASA. He was a modest and caring man who was a gifted surgeon and teacher. When more details are known, I will share them.

The passing of Tony Thomas reminds me of the saying, “We warm ourselves at fires we did not build.” ASA’s fires still burn thanks to pioneers like Tony.

Sadly,
Susan A. Rothmann, President, American Society of Andrology
