Jean Fourcroy, MD, PhD, MPH, passed away on October 12, 2016 at the age of 86. She was one of the first female urologists in the U.S. and had a long and productive career in clinical, research and regulatory work. Jean was an active member of the ASA until she retired in 2012. Many of us remember her best with her camera around her neck, capturing so many great images of andrologists in action (including on the dance floor) at our annual meetings!

In lieu of flowers, her husband, Armin Behr, requests that donations be directed to the Jean L. Fourcroy Research Award at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Urology, where she received her urology training. Please make checks payable to The George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Office of Development and Alumni Relations, 2600 Virginia Ave NW, Suite 355E, Washington DC 20037.

A memorial service will be held at the Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Ave. NW on January 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Those planning to attend should contact [email protected].
